Hello,

I installed the latest version of PhysX SystemSoftware (7.06.25) and the PhysX SDK (2.7) but when I try to export PhysX scenes from Maya 8.0 I get an error saying that the PhysX Extractor Plug-in failed to initialize the PhysX SDK. I am exporting scenes with the Gamebryo exporter however this does not seem to be a Gamebryo problem, rather a nima issue. Is there any way you can help me? I tried uninstalling the physx sdk and systemsoftware to install an older version, but whenever I attempt to install the old version of systemsoftware it says that a newer version is still installed and does not let me do it! I uninstalled the new version using the uninstallers provided (I didnt just delete the directories) so I have no idea what to do now.

Thx.

I would suggest installing the PhysX System Software that we use to build the Nima plug-ins: that would be version 7.03.21 for the version of the PhysX SDK that you have installed. It is available on devsupport.ageia.com if you are a registered developer with AGEIA.

Actually I asked Emergent about that and they told me that I should install the Nima plugin that is built for PhysX 2.6.2. Is there anywhere I can download this version of your plug-in? I quote the e-mail below:

"the Nima plug-in must be
compiled specifically for PhysX 2.6.2. In other words, it must match the
Gamebryo PhysX supported version.

Feeling Software should still have a Maya 8.0 PhysX 2.6.2 plug-in available
someplace. You might have to ask them about it."
