Oh man! This is so sad news. =( This was the most promising I've seen for maya in years. This is really really a sad thing. =(((((((

Isn't there some way to keep Nima alive? To open source it or something? It's just such a master piece with no competitor at all. I can't understand why companies have not shown any interest. =(((( From my point of view even autodesk should be interested in this since it wipes the floor with the built in simulations.

I might actually start to cry over this. Not a pretty sight.

I consider picking up the Nima project, and add the open source Bullet physics engine. It would be a fork from an older Nima version, with some functionality removed, but fully open source.
