Feeling Software Partners with Genetec to Introduce iGuard; a New iPod Touch and iPhone Application for Mobile IP Video Surveillance
iGuard delivers mobile video surveillance to Genetec Omnicast IP Video Management System
Montreal, Quebec; July 21, 2009 – In a climate of tight security budgets, security directors are doing what it takes to make the most of the infrastructure already in place. Feeling Software’s new iGuard mobile surveillance application takes a security system’s current CCTV hardware and software infrastructure and makes it remotely accessible to all security personnel.
Designed for multi-camera security systems such as those commonly found in large retail stores, hospitals, casinos and universities, iGuard takes advantage of the wireless connectivity and intuitive touch screen interface of the iPod Touch and iPhone. With a simple touch of a finger, a security officer can rapidly scan through all camera locations, select a specific live camera feed, and move and zoom the camera in real time to capture the desired image. Using a slider control, iGuard also makes it simple to return back in time and watch recorded footage of any specific moment, on any camera.

iGuard accesses the video feeds through Wi-Fi or a 3G cellular internet connection (on the iPhone).
