The Big Security Picture - Just Got Clearer…

Feeling Software’s Omnipresence 3D and iGuard products are now fully integrated with Pelco IP-based cameras and encoders.

Montreal, Quebec, Canada; October 29, 2009 – In a continuing effort to provide broad hardware and software support in its flagship products, Feeling Software has upgraded its product line to enable direct integration with Pelco cameras and encoders. Pelco, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Schneider Electric S.A, is a recognized industry leader in video security cameras, video management hardware and software.  Today, Feeling Software announced full support, in both its iGuard Mobile Surveillance and Omnipresence 3D Surveillance security applications, for a wide range of Pelco IP-based cameras and encoders, which include the NET5301T Encoder, IP110, IP3701, Spectra IV IP, Spectra Mini IP and Sarix megapixel cameras.

Omnipresence 3D, created to secure high-risk facilities such as airports, nuclear plants, and seaports, makes use of large numbers of cameras simultaneously, providing a 3D environment to improve situational awareness and emergency response, and reduce operator training costs.  As an application layer above the video recording system, Omnipresence 3D interfaces with the cameras both via the video recorder (VMS, NVR, DVR), and directly for advanced functionality.

Omnipresence 3D pulls the live and archived videos from the video recording system, then projects them inside the 3D environment to provide a global view of the security system.

Relying on the video recording system for common operations like recording and playback, advanced features like PTZ auto-control are more efficient when integrated directly with the end cameras.

“Omnipresence 3D and iGuard are cutting edge applications, which use all the features of a camera to its fullest extent,” says Joshua Koopferstock, Director of Marketing at Feeling Software.  “The Pelco cameras have all the features that we need to synthesize an intuitive, visual environment within Omnipresence 3D. Combining Pelco high-end video hardware with our 3D security software benefits end users of both technologies.”

As part of the Pelco Partner First Program, Feeling Software will continue to add support for new Pelco products, including the Endura Video Management System platform in the near future.

“We are extremely excited about this new integration as it’s a natural fit, which our mutual customers can benefit from,” says Terry Carver, Pelco API Business Development Manager. “This new integration further demonstrates the continued commitment by Pelco to ‘openness’ by providing best-of-breed solutions that meet customer requirements.”
